One of the most exciting parts about Photokina was seeing prototypes! Pentax showed off this alien looking camera that can to shoot 360 degrees!
‘It is a device consisting of two circular chambers, presumably with a coverage of 180 degree each, capable of generating a spherical image with a single shot.’

We stopped by Leica at Photokina today (that giant photo conference we’ve been talking about)!
Here’s what we saw:
- The Leica M, their newest mirrorless camera with a full-frame 24MP sensor (as good as a DSLR’s!) It goes for $6K, but it’s a Leica, y’know?
- The stunning and relatively small X2. It’s a compact digital camera with a fast f/2.8 lens and a major CMOS 16.2 MP sensor, which means it can capture light better with low noise and great color depth.

Here’s a breakdown of the new iPhone 5’s camera!
New features:
- Similar to the iPhone 4S w/ 8MP, five-element f/2.4 lens
- Hybrid infrared filter for better color
- New A6 processor for noise-reduction, better speed
- Sapphire crystal cover to prevent scratching
- Better front-face camera for 720p video
New stuff you can do:
- Panorama mode to capture a single stitched 28MP photo
- Share photos with friends means you can share photos in your camera roll with others
- Dynamic low light mode for better low-light photos
- Shoot photos while recording video

Langly Camera Bag, a Kickstarter project by Evan Lane. The bag was born out of a desire for a more attractive camera bag that still housed the same functionality. Made of high quality waterproof canvas, the bag has space for four accessories, the camera body, clothing and a laptop.
The two styles, Alpha and Delta, will be available in under two weeks as the project has already reached its funding target.
